Helen Shupla Melon Bowl.
Melon bowls are the classic shape Helen Shupula was known for. Her pueblo pottery was featured on the cover of "Talking with Clay" by Steven Trimble

Old Lady Nampeyo c.1910.
Nampeyo's elegant potttery shapes and modern pottery designs were very collectable at the turn of the century as they are today. A great Nampeyo pottery jar can bring over a hundred thousand dollars in todays market. Her pueblo pottery pieces are almost never signed thus authenticity is a must. Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery of Santa Fe and Tucson is considered to be one of the Nampeyo Pueblo Pottery experts.

Zuni Frog jar c.1900.
This Zuni pottery jar has lovely applied frogs surronding the rim which are still intact, which is rare. Also masterfully painted butterfly motifs bisect the frog effigies. The frogs represent fertility and water which goes hand in hand in the pueblo indians world.
Acoma four color Parrot pot c.1890-1900.
This fifteen inch pottery jar is a masterpiece in design and shape. The four color pieces with parrots are the most sought after pieces. With one large example recently selling for $350,000 at auction. These elegant jars were used for carring water. Edward Curtis captured their use in his famous image of the "Old Well at Acoma"
